The 2010 Montana PAS "Day of Percussion" will be held on Friday, April 16th at The University of Montana, School of Music in Missoula. The day's events will take place in Room 1 (Band Room in basement of Music Building). The Guest artists for this year's event will highlight the great variety found in percussion music today featuring: Ed Saindon, vibraphone (from Berklee College of Music), Jeff Prosperie, rudimental & orchestral snare drumming (member of "The Hellcats" from West Point & championship snare drummer extraordinaire) and Robert Levin, West African drumming specialist (percussionist for The Lion King on Broadway/composer). The event will also feature a "FUN"damentals clinic presented by Montana PAS members. The event will conclude that evening with the UM Spring Percussion Ensemble Concert featuring the three guest artists with the UM Percussion Ensemble and Islanders Steel Band at 7:30pm in the University Theater.

Each year, the Montana Chapter of PAS hosts a "Day of Percussion" which features nationally and internationally renown percussion artists in clinics and concerts. University percussion ensembles also perform during the events and attendees receive great door prizes donated by the industry including everthing from t-shirts and caps to stick bags, cases and even cymbals and other instruments.
