Master Class at Ted Brown Music (tedbrownmusic.com) from 3:00-4:30 located at 2612 West Nob Hill Blvd., Suite B in Yakima, WA. The class is called: Developing A Groove Vocabulary. This class covers a variety of styles of grooves: Rock, Funk, R&B, Fusion, Latin (Brazilian and Afro-Cuban), and Jazz styles. Garey will teach the rhythmic foundation and how to develop the coordination to groove and improvise in each style. Beginners to advanced students are welcome! Jon Belcher, the original soundtrack drummer for TV's "Fat Albert & the Cosby Kids" show, is also the author of the critically acclaimed method book "Drumset Workouts". This Hal Leonard publication is in it's third printing. The clinic is sponsored by the Ludwig Drum Company, Vater Percussion Company, and Enumclaw Music. There will be gear given away after the clinic to all participating drum students. Free to the public.
